On Monday September 5th the Municipality of Pordenone and Anolf FVG held a press conference to present the results of the #unionmigrantnet project.
The Pordenone Councillor for Social Policies, Guglielmina Cucci, stated that “After 2 years of great difficulties due to the pandemic, which put a strain on the implementation of the funded projects, this year the activities finally came into full swing. Through this project we had the opportunity to make integration a concrete reality not only economically but also socially and inclusively. An opportunity for immigrant women who could also find a place in the labor market by coming out of a situation of marginality and becoming an active part of the social context.”
It was added by Morena Cristofori, councillor for European Policies, that “The Mutual Learning programmes within the UMN project, being international exchange between the Social Services of the Municipality of Pordenone and other entities abroad engaged in reception services, represents an indispensable enrichment for our area, committed since 2015 in a fruitful cooperation with other international institutions in order to translate at local level the development policies outlined by the European Union”.
Lucilla Moro, responsible of the Job orientation service of the Municipality, and Ahmed Faghi Elmi from ANOLF FVG, presented the training course which was concluded this summer and the training on the job that is going to start in the upcoming weeks: all the attendees were officially given a certificate of participation in front of the local press.
